7 years ago I started playing around with 3D modeling tools like Maya and 3Ds Max.
This triggered my interest in developing games and made me want to go study MBO Gamedesign on GLU Utrecht and after that I continued studying a HBO Visual Arts study on NHTV Breda.
Now I have a professional understanding of PBR materials and textures, as do I have for traditional texturing methods.
Since I discovered Substance Painter when it first came out, this has been my favorite texturing tool. I am still just as able to create good looking materials with Adobe Photoshop.
The first professional game-engine I worked with was the Unity 3 engine, quickly after that Unity 4, Unity 5, UDK and Unreal Engine 4. I tend to quickly adjust to using a new engine but my heart go's out to Unreal 4.
I like to work quickly and efficiently, and when necessary try to find the most effective way to get the job done.
I try to find the right balance between the amount off assets I create, the speed at which I create them and the quality of these assets, and believe to be improving on this with every new major asset I finish.
During the past 3 to 4 years Iv'e been working on several group projects, personal and for school.
I like to actively participate in the team and I am not afraid to speak up when I feel that I have something to add that would benefit of the team or the project.
Next to doing art and working on games, I like to try new hobby's and things to do.
Music is very important to me, I spend a lot of time listening to it and playing it on the Djembé. I've been playing with my instructor and her group for a year and love doing so. I also participate in martial arts like Jeet Kune Do and Eskrima for a little over a year now. Recently I tried to pick up surfing because I like to discover new and exciting things to do.
I enjoy hanging out with people and like to think of myself as a social person, although it usually takes me some time to get comfortable around new people before I really start making conversation. I think I have a good sense of humor, although not everyone seems to agree with that.
